It is best to use simple colored dishes, preferably white, to make the food look most appealing. The rich colors of the placemats and tablecloth will then serve as beautiful accents to the dishes and food.

Candles

Candles in fresh fall scents will set the mood for your gathering. Whether you prefer cinnamon apple, warm vanilla, or pumpkin scents, candles make everyone feel warm and cozy. Safely place a couple candles on a mantle or on an end table, anywhere they will be visible and not at risk of being knocked over. For extra warmth, literally, make use of your fireplace. The fireplace is nostalgic for most, so it will not only provide physical warmth, but emotional warmth too!

Other Fall Accents

Other little accents you place around the house will provide instant warmth to all of your guests. Consider placing pumpkins around the house, an inviting fall wreath on the door, festive hand towels, and a couple throws on the couches.
